Annual EMDS Research Award for Young Investigators

Annual EMDS Research Award for Young Investigators (€ 1000)

This prize will be awarded annually to a young scientist for a high impact original publication in the field of macrophage or dendritic cell biology, either as first or senior author.

Requirements:
Applicants should be members of the EMDS and below the age of 35 years, when submitting a first author publication, and not much older than 40 years for a senior author publication.

  • The original manuscript should have been published or accepted for publication in the year of the award presentation or the year before.
  • The research underlying this publication must have been primarily performed at a European research institution and should have a major focus on macrophages/monocytes and/or dendritic

Application procedure:
Please send a PDF file of your CV (including your list of publications) and of the publication, which you wish to be considered for evaluation, to the acting president of the EMDS (see council). Please submit only one original publication.

Application deadline: July 15th of the year of the award presentation

The decision is made by members of the EDMS Council assisted by members of the EMDS Advisory Board.

The awardee will be invited to the EMDS conference of the same year, where he/she will present the awarded publication and receive the award along with a cheque in the amount of € 1.000 sponsored by the EMDS.

From 2002 to 2014 the EMDS Research Award was generously sponsored (€ 5.000) by BD Biosciences and named “BD Biosciences Award of the EMDS”.
