2026 EMDS Research Awards
EMDS Young Investigator Award 2026 - Deadline 15th August 2026
The Young Investigator (YI) Award recognizes fundamental and novel insights into the biology of macrophages and/or dendritic cells, made by young investigators. Eligible candidates must be EMDS members, should be no older than 40 years, and should be at an advanced stage of postdoctoral or early Principal Investigator career. Applicants must have a past, present or future association with a European institute. The research paper on which the award is based should have been published recently (2024-2026).
Applications for the Young Investigator Award 2026 are open from May 2026. The award will be presented at this year’s meeting in Amsterdam. Awardees will receive free registration to the 2026 EMDS meeting, will have the opportunity to present their work at the meeting as well as receiving a nominal cash prize.

EMDS Outstanding Contribution Award 2026 - Deadline 15th August 2026
New to EMDS this year is the Outstanding Contribution Award. This award aims to recognise senior European based scientists who have significantly contributed to the field of macrophages and Dendritic cells over their career.
Nominations for the Outstanding Contribution Award 2026 are open from May 2026. Awardees will receive life-long membership to the EMDS and free registration for the next 5 EMDS annual meetings (including Amsterdam 2026). Nominees must have a past, or present association with a European institute. Self-nominations are also welcome.

Travel Grants for EMDS2026 Amsterdam – Deadline 1st August 2026
The EMDS will also support up to 10 travel grants to young investigators attending EMDS2026. Applications for travel grants are now open.
